Lowell D Chitty

Lowell D Chitty, 87, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 27, 2018. Born March 26, 1930 in Moultrie GA., to the late Terry G and Lillie May Chitty. Mr. Chitty served in the Korean War and retired as Master Sergeant serving 38 years in the United States Army, Civil Service, and Army Reserves. He moved from Jacksonville FL to Satsuma FL to enjoy life on the St Johns River. He is survived by his loving wife, Martha V Taylor Chitty of 67 years, 6 children, Kalia Baillene, Steve (Lori) Chitty, Danny (Susan) Chitty, Darlene (Bob) Hutchinson, Ronnie (LuAnn) Chitty, and daughter Debbie Chitty. 10 grandchildren, James (April), Robbie, Jonathan (Erica), Brandon, Melissa, Joshua (Christiana), Amanda (Michael), Danielle, Jessica (Joshua), Charlie (Chrissy), 11 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be at 11 AM followed by a service at 11:30 am on Thursday, February 1, 2018 at First Baptist Church of San Mateo with Pastor Jeff Foster officiating. Felipe R Morales

Felipe R. Morales, Sr., 66 of Crescent City, Florida was called to heaven on Friday, January 19, 2018. Felipe was born in Munday, Texas. He, his wife and son came to Florida in 1973. By 1980, he had a total of 8 children. He remained in Putnam County for the rest of his life. He was a Granite Countertop Fabricator from 2000 – 2009 and was also operator and operator of Grandma’s Learning Center in Crescent City, Fl. He was always a Dallas Cowboy’s fan. He loved his family very much. He is preceded in death by his daughter, Irma Morales. Survivors are his wife of 45 years, Juanita Morales; sons, Ruben Lopez (Virginia), Felipe Morales Jr. (Angela), Gabriel Morales (Gusbeida); four daughters, Veronica Hernandez (Noe), Geneva Dominguez (Oscar), Mary Ellen Morales, Angelica Hernandez (Miguel); forty four grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; eight sisters; one brother, and his furry friend, Cookie. Visitation will be Friday, January 26, 2018 from 4-10 PM at Iglesia Jesucristo Es Mi Refugio Church at 139 Beulah Baptist Church Road in Fruitland. Barbara Joan Hosmer, 73 of Crescent City, Florida passed away on Friday, January 19, 2018 at Haven Hospice Roberts Care Center. Barbara was born in Philadelphia, Pa., to the late Jonathan and Agnes O’Brien. She raised and loved exotic birds. She loved to dance, fish and loved life itself. Besides her parents she is preceded in death by her son, Robert R. Baker and ten siblings. She is survived by her husband, Richard M. Hosmer of thirteen years of Crescent City, Fl.; daughter, Bonnie J. Baker of Topeka, Ks.; two sons, Randall R. Baker and wife, Julie of Crescent City, Fl., Roger R. Baker and wife, Michelle of Topeka, Ks,; brother, Timothy O’Brien of Philadelphia, Pa.; sister, Annamarie and husband, Bill of Philadelphia, Pa.; four grandchildren, Matthew, Kyle, Katlyn and Morgan; and one great grandson, Nixon Crelly. Jenilae S. Rains, 92 of Satsuma, Florida passed away on Monday, January 15, 2018 at Palatka Health Care Center. Mrs.Rains was born in Sand Fork,West Virginia to the late Ivan and Ollie Sumpter. She loved to played bingo with the emphasis on bingo. Besides her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Howell Rains. She is survived by her brother, Franklin Ray Sumpter and wife, Ann of Delware; several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, January 20, 2018 at 1 PM at Hermit’s Cove Clubhouse. There is no visitation planned. Michelle Halliday, 47 of Satsuma, Florida passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, January 13, 2018 due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Michelle was born on March 7, 1970 to Michael and Mary Gisondi. She loved to sing Karaoke and had an amazing voice. She also loved boating, playing pool, and spending time with family and friends. Michelle worked for 11 years at Azalea Health as a front desk supervisor in Welaka, Fl. She is preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Donald Harlow and brother, Mark Crespo, She leaves behind to cherish her memories her parents, Michael Gisondi (Diana) of St. Augustine, Fl., Mary Verigan (Ed) of Pomona Park, Fl.; her companion, Terry Cumbo of Satsuma, Fl..; children, Christopher Halliday (Dawn) of Satsuma, Fl., Matthew Halliday (Julie) of Pomona Park, Fl., Anissa Halliday of Palm Coast, Fl.; sisters, Brenda Harlow of Fruitland, Fl., Tonia Walker (Richard) of Interlachen, Fl., and Lori White (Leonard) of Union Grove, Ala.; brothers, Randy Gisondi (Anita) of St. Augustine, Fl., and Michael R. Gisondi; six grandchildren, Jared Tesla, Natalie, Sommer, Trevor, and Joanna Halliday; step children, Terry (TJ) Dunnigan ( Seana) of Satsuma, Florida and their five children, Britnie Cumbo of Crescent City, Fl., and her three children; numerous nieces and nephews. She will be missed by all who knew her. Funeral Service will be on Friday, January 19, 2018, 11 AM at Watts Funeral Home and Cremation Center in San Mateo, Fl., with Jamie Watts officiating. Interment will be at Oakhill Cemetery West in Palatka. Michelle’s Life will be celebrated at Cheyenne Saloon following the graveside committal.
