Harry O. (Slim) Beatty, 79 of Crescent City, Florida passed away on Wednesday, April 26, 2017. Slim was born in Texas to the late Russel and Bertha Beatty. He was a veteran of the United States Navy and served in the Vietnam War. He was a life member of VFW in Crescent City, Fl. He was a life member of Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation. He acquired  the name Slim because he was tall and lanky. He retired from Seminole Electric and upon retiring he started Beatty Chartering. He was an avid marksman and shooting instructor. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and target shooting with his grandson. Besides his parents he is preceded in death by his daughter, Stephanie Wiley Beatty and brother, Robert (Bob) Beatty.  He is survived by his wife of  41 years, Terisa  (Terry) Beatty of Crescent City, Fl; daughter, Barbara Hetland Beatty and husband, Steve of San Francisco, Ca.; Eric Beatty and wife, Mihoko (Miko) of Jacksonville, Fl., Stephen M. Beatty and wife, Angela of  Winston, Ga., Harry Beatty Jr., and wife, Stacey of Crescent City, Fl.; grandchildren,  Abbie, O’Neal, Jackson, and Cooper Beatty; fur babies, Oliver, Snow and Spooky. He was a wonderful and loving Husband, Father and Grandfather and loved by all who met him. Slim’s life will be celebrated on Saturday, May 6, 2017, 11:00 AM  at Watts Funeral Home in San Mateo with military honors  bestowed by the United States Navy.   Memories and condolences may be shared on line at www.wattsfuneralhomes.com
