Mary Lou Williams, 62 of Green Cove Springs. Fl., peacefully went home to be with her Lord on Wednesday, March 8, 2017. Mary Lou was born in Illinois to the late Houston and Mary Ann Johnson. She worked in the youth ministry at Francis Baptist Church and was the family life director for the St. Johns River Baptist Association. Mary Lou was a member of Welaka Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School and loved to sing in the choir. She was a #1 Pastor's wife. She was a great witness for her Lord. In her earlier years she loved to play golf. Mary Lou worked alongside her husband with teenage boys both at the Baptist Home for Children and Florida Sheriffs Boys’ Ranch. Besides her parents she is preceded in death by two brothers, Michael and Bill Johnson.  Mary Lou is survived by the love of her life, husband, Pastor Bill Williams of Green Cove Springs, Fl.; brothers, Joseph Brill of San Diego, Ca., Sid Johnson of Illinois; nieces, nephews and her loving church family. It was Mary Lou's ambition toward the end of her earthly life to again be a witness for her Lord. Her Life will be celebrated on Sunday, March 12, 2017, 1:30 PM at Welaka Baptist Church with her husband, Bill presiding. Visitation will begin at 1:00 PM at the church.  Interment will follow at Palatka Memorial Gardens.  Memories and condolences may be shared with her family at Watts Funeral Home  and Cremation Center is entrusted to the arrangements.
