Warren Jerome Brown

Warren Jerome Brown 88, of Satsuma, Florida passed away on Sunday, December 25, 2011 at Putnam Community Medical Center in Palatka, Florida. Warren was born on Wednesday, June 27, 1923 in East Smithfield, Pennsylvania to the late Francis and Theresa Brown. Mr. Brown Proudly served his country faithfully in the U.S. Marines during WWII. He is also preceded in death by his first wife, Mildred (Lee) Brown, sons: Donald Brown and David Turner, brothers: Willard Brown, Wayne Brown, Walter Brown, sisters: Juanita McClelland, Louise Stanton and Charlotte Stanton. He attended First Baptist Church of Welaka, Florida and was a member of the V.F.W in Sayre, Pennsylvania, American Legion in Elmira Heights, New York and the Loyal Order of the Moose in Waverly, New York. He enjoyed his grandchildren, dancing and hunting. Mr. Brown worked for National Homes for over 30 years, he also owned and operated Beef Farm and Browns Saw Sharpening in East Smithfield, Pennsylvania. Mr. Brown is survived by his wife, Norma Brown; sons: Jack Brown and wife Sandy, and James Turner; daughters: Patricia Parrish and husband Maynard, Sharon Crain and husband Dale and Michaelle Tillinghast and husband Louis; sisters: Naomi Dumors and Irene Gunshaw; brothers: Wendell Brown and wife Sue and Wellman Brown and wife Gloria; sister in laws: Mary Ellen Clifton and husband Ebo and Shirley Brown; twelve grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; A Celebration of Warren’s life will be 11 AM, Wednesday, December 28, 2011 at the First Baptist Church of Welaka, with pastor Mike Stanley officiating, in Welaka, Florida. Simplicity Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Watts Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Inc., San Mateo, Florida.
